Full Service Project

In addition to providing services for specific
transportation disciplines within a project, Tuhin
Basu & Associates, Inc. possesses the experience
and expertise to provide the services required for all
aspects of transportation engineering in a single
project.  As an example, TBA is currently providing
engineering services for this project consisting of
replacement and realignment of an approximately
two-mile long section of US 701 located in Horry and
Georgetown Counties.  The project includes the
replacement of the three existing bridges over the
Great Pee Dee River, Pee Dee River Overflow and
Yauhannah Lake.  The project is located in an
wetland and environmentally sensitive area.
Additionally, a large part of the project site resides
within the Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge.

TBA’s responsibilities include agency
coordination/public involvement, environmental
assessment & wetland permit application, traffic
analysis, alignment study, and conducting public
meetings and public hearings.  Based on the
selected alignment, TBA will prepare  right of way
plans, roadway construction plans, hydrology and
hydraulic design, bridge construction plans,
maintenance of traffic plans, pavement marking and
signing plans, sediment and erosion control design,
specifications, quantities and cost estimates.  TBA
will also conduct a value engineering review
meeting for the project, and provide engineering
support services during construction.
